Windows / Azure Cloud Engineer (Server Admin)L3

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled engineer with strong hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, and Azure Cloud services to manage and support our global customer hybrid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Support during USA hours and flexibility to be available during non-business hours for any outage support
• Work with OEM to handle issues and support
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server
• Manage VM provisioning, templates, snapshots, cloning, and resource optimization
• Perform cluster operations including vMotion, DRS, HA, datastore management
• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, storage, load balancers
• Write PowerShell scripts for automation and administration tasks
• Ensure security, patching, backup, and DR readiness
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, File/Print Servers
• Troubleshoot OS level issues, performance bottlenecks, and security configurations
• Manage Azure AD, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and monitoring tools
• Implement hybrid solutions (Azure Arc, Azure AD Connect)
• Ensure cloud security and compliance following best practices
• Manage connectivity between on premises and Azure environments
• Work with monitoring systems (Azure Monitor, SCOM, Nagios, etc.)
• Provide L2/L3 support for escalated incidents and problem resolution
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Implement identity and access management practices
• Apply security baselines for servers (CIS/NIST preferred)
• Work with MFA, conditional access, encryption policies

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server and Active Directory
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS
• PowerShell scripting
• Understanding of backup, DR, and clustering solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Experience with SAN/NAS
• Backup tools (Veeam/Commvault/etc.)
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, subnets, routing

Preferred Certifications

• Azure certifications (AZ 104, AZ 303/305)
• VMware certifications (VCP)
• Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS)

Education

• BE/BTech or equivalent technical degree
